Women living the way our Creator intended,

answering the call of Jesus at the Eighth Station.

The Eighth Station - Missionaries at Home

Our Mission

Jesus spoke once on His way to the cross.

It was to women at the Eighth Station.

The Eighth Station are women of all ages and backgrounds together striving to reform and restore our culture, one person at a time.  We seek, to restore ideal womanhood as intended by our Creator. Each woman lives in unique circumstances. Through her circumstances she is able to transform the world (her piece of the world) through humility, prayer, sacrifice, and friendship. Committing to the Eighth Station is answering the call of Jesus.

Jesus called the women at the Eighth Station

to prayer and penance.

Today, He calls us, and we respond.

“And there followed him a great multitude of the people, and of women who bewailed and lamented him. But Jesus turning to them said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. For behold, the days are coming when they will say, “Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never gave suck! Then they will begin to say to the Mountains, “Fall on us” ; and to the hills, “Cover us.” For if they do this when the wood is green, what will happen when it is dry?” (Luke 23:27-31)

“Here is the call to repentance, true repentance, genuine sorrow in the truth of the evil that has been committed. Jesus says to the daughters of Jerusalem, who weep at the sight of him: “Do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children” Luke 23:28

One cannot merely scrape away at the surface of evil; one has to get down to its roots, its causes, the inner truth of conscience…Lord, let me know how to live and walk in the truth”

(K. Wojyla, Sign of Contradiction, The Way of the Cross-Eighth Station)

Today we are at the time that Jesus spoke of when he was on his way to calvary. The only people he spoke to were the women, and it was a call to action. A call to pray for the times would come when no longer would women be valued in their true nature.

It Matters

Our actions effect others.  As a diverse group with many responsibilities, we recognize the ripple effect that actions have personally and in society. The Eighth Station are women living in the world as women, striving to live and embody womanhood as intended by our Creator, while recognizing the unique circumstances of each woman. Through humility, prayer, sacrifice, and friendship we will restore our culture.
